So, instead of a cartridge or data card storage format, they decided to add an IR sensor to the front of the thing and then force you to point it at a television. This makes the data storage medium (a VCR tape) large, vulnerable to degradation, and prone to communication issues.

I'm sure the data's stored in the game, the video tape just selects a specific puzzle. Still ridiculous.

My math skills tell me the tape would need to transmit at least seven bits of data, maybe eight if there were more than two tapes.

I once tried out for Jeopardy.

I was very excited because everybody seemed like they were having the time of their lives, laughing and joking, being happy, happy, happy people.

I found out this was the line for Wheel of Fortune try-outs. I was pointed to the Jeopardy line, which was around the corner, full of sullen, dejected, nervous looking weirdos.

I was pointed where I deserved to be.
