One thing that does honestly bother me about this guy is the whole "teen pregnancy" thing. Are people still harping on about that stuff? I'd assumed that the "teen pregnancy" moral panic was the sole domain of fat white conservatives born in the 50s.

Teen pregnancy rates have almost NEVER been lower than they are today. In fact, getting pregnant while you were still a teenager was the norm for most of human history; it really wasn't until the industrial revolution that rates started to drop, and not until the last fifty years or so that it could really be considered "uncommon". It's certainly not a good idea to get knocked up before you finish high school, mind you, especially not the way society today is structured, but I've never understood the rationale behind this pathological fear of pregnancy rates rising a percent or two, like somehow this is an unprecedented moral failure on our part and, left un-complained-about, it's going to cause civilization to collapse in on itself.

Its driven by the debtor economy. Kids are now a burden that keeps you from reaching your earning potential.
