SolRo - 2013-11-29

TOTALITARIAN POLICE TRAMPLING ON RIGHTS OF INNOCENT SOVEREIGN DINOSAUR!!

ashtar. - 2013-11-29

See, the dinosaur represents the free market, trying to soar, and the people holding it down represent collectivist second-hander regulation, holding it back and eventually killing it.

EvilHomer - 2013-11-29

I have to go now. My planet needs me.

Meerkat - 2013-11-29

The adults handled that well by letting nature take its course.

TeenerTot - 2013-11-29

Barney, fighting death with mighty throes, finally succumbs. The scavenging insects immediately swarm and desiccate the corpse.

RedRust - 2013-11-29

And in the end, Barney was melted and recycled into Crocs.

StanleyPain - 2013-11-29

The Pacific Rim sequel is taking a weird direction.

Monkey Napoleon - 2013-11-29

We started winning. Jaegers stopping Kaiju everywhere.

BHWW - 2013-11-29

And I'm reminded of how back in the mid-90s it seemed like a third of US internet activity was devoted to anti-Barney the Dinosaur sentiment.

glasseye - 2013-11-29

Those were good days. Good days.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-11-30

This is a good time to repost this:

Twas beauty deflated the beast.

duck&cover - 2013-11-29

Five for you.

gravelstudios - 2013-11-29

Does anybody know when/where this happened?

ashtar. - 2013-11-29

"This happened in NYC during Thanksgiving parade in 1997."

gravelstudios - 2013-11-30

Thanks. I somehow forgot about the "watch on Youtube" button there.

Binro the Heretic - 2013-11-29

I like how he seemed to be continually waving "bye-bye" until he finally hit the ground.

ashtar. - 2013-11-29

It's arm is turgid and purple and has a glans for some reason.

spikestoyiu - 2013-11-29

"We're expecting very strong winds today, so let's make sure that we get only middle-aged women to carry this thing."

BorrowedSolution - 2013-11-29

THE BEAST! IT REBELS!! RAAARRGH!!!!!

RockBolt - 2013-11-29

At least those cops working overtime got to stomp Barney's head open

duck&cover - 2013-11-29

Call for the batwing, the Joker's is at it again.

boner - 2013-11-30

He had it coming.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-11-30

But did they consecrate the ground it was buried on?

pyslexic dharmacist - 2013-12-01

I know I'm not the only former (or current) PBS employee to watch this with a big shit-eating grin.

Pope Caius - 2013-12-01

You can't be a former employee of anything without sharing stories. It's the law.

pyslexic dharmacist - 2013-12-01

No particularly interesting stories, but every sane PBS employee loathes Barney and the Teletubbies with a passion, especially us schmucks who had to watch the shows as they aired (so if something went wrong, there would be someone to blame.) I think Barney intentionally cast the worst child actors they could find, and Teletubbies is the intellectual equivalent of playing peekaboo for 30 minutes straight, except without human interaction.

gambol - 2013-12-02

if you skip ahead to the zoom at 2:10, when it pulls back it's sort of like a video of one of those unacceptable spiders spewing babies as it dies
