EvilHomer - 2014-12-10 I was all set to make fun of you, poorwill, but you know, on reflection, the movie is indeed a little boring. Most Japanese cinema is.
It's also very cool, quite moody and evocative, with haunting visuals that'll stick with you for years. I haven't seen this movie since college, but I still have dreams about that mask and the susuki fields! In a way, watching the film is rather like plodding through a reed swamp. Beautiful, frightening, and tedious in equal measure.
