+ the *big chain* and the *big engine* and various big things are just interesting things to see + the elements of alien, to us, life onboard ship.

Conversely the likes of the transformers films (for example) are boring cus theyre just... meaningless static.

I've been on a cutter since summer 2013. Cutter life is a drag. When this billet is up I'm either leaving the Coast Guard or finding another cushy land unit.

I think the novelty wears off regardless of what you're doing, but yeah, you could probably make rank pretty easily. It's worth looking into, particularly if you're aiming for your twenty years...!
