This is bad, but at least they know the source material, from what little I actually watched. Imagine Mike and the Robots doing a MLP:FiM. I also like how Bronies will acknowledge the fact that their favorite show sucked so bad: I remember when Phantom Menace came out; Star Wars junkies who hyped up the film lied through their teeth about the fact that it wasn't a horrible film until the general consensus among fans was "yeah, that actually really sucked."

I don't mean to scare anyone and it's not like any execs at Hasbro are reading this (and even if they are, they wouldn't give a fuck because FiM has most likely increased their product's popularity even more than the multi-million dollar Transformers movies did) but if Hasbro decided to go back to a style like this for a reboot, would the Bronies follow?

In fairness, there is at least one MST-a-like that is totally worth checking out, and that is Incognito Cinema Warriors XP. They're mostly self funded so the episodes very slow to come out (they've only done like 8 in the last few years), but they are very well done and the closest I think anyone has come to an MST homage that actually works. I own all their DVDs so far.

Infinatezest, our show didn't suck. MLP:FIM is brilliant and always has been. This is G3 MLP sludge. It sucks. Everything about it sucks. This should disprove all negative stereotypes you hold about bronies. We never even thought about MLP until FIM came out. We knew it was garbage for 5 year old girls. The creeper traits you attribute to bronies exist in those who liked it before the latest incarnation of the show came out, like CWC.
I can assure you we would not follow if the MLP degenerated back to this.

Cena speaks the truth. Previous Generations of My Little Pony were awful, and G4 fans typically want nothing to do with that dreck.

In fact, that's one of the major ideological conflicts within the online Pony community: a lot of old-school fans - mostly women in their 20s and 30s who were formerly little girls, but also some creepy dudes like CWC - act rude towards bronies, because these old-school fans are mad that G4 has made Ponies cool and respectable for a change, instead of keeping Ponies lame and shitty like they were for almost three decades. The G3 fans are being gentrified out of their old neigh-borhoods, which in a way is sort of sad, but I can't shed many tears, because frankly it's their own fault for picking a fandom as dumb as old-school MLP.

Yeah.. By "favorite show" I meant the entire MLP franchise. You've probably seen enough of my posts to know that I love FiM and think Brony culture's pretty uniquely cool even though mine is a bit of an outsiders' view.

Sometimes a thing is just so awful, I don't know how many stars to throw at it before backing the fuck out. This was a coinflip for me.

Considering that a whole bunch of people here get off on it and love posting essay length comments about the canon of shit like this, I cannot bring myself to star anything MLP around here anymore. Or vote it up for that matter.
