Well, to be fair (not that I want to be), but Daniel Tosh does this (or did, I dunno if the show's still on) all the time. Granted he was dealing with viral videos, but I don't know if people who watched the show looked them up on Youtube or if they already had millions of hits, but the people featured never got any credit, as far as I know, besides maybe one of the videos' participants coming on the show occasionally. That's different than comment/joke stealing IMO, but yeah.. facebook and such and such. I'd quit if I didn't know how else to get into contact with people across the world, or at least see what they had for lunch.

Also is it just me or does he look like Ken Marino?

Old_Zircon - 2015-11-15

Daniel Tosh was/is awful though, so I don't really follow what you'r ejuxtaposing. One's a bit more cynical about it than the other, I guess.

Just that nobody really gave much of a damn if he put their youtube video on his show and cracked wise about it.

Old_Zircon - 2015-11-16

Nobody gives a damn about this either, that's kind of the problem.

Point taken.

Is this a 1 star or 5 star submission?

That guy - 2015-11-16

5?

Don't care that bigger douches are ripping off little douches' crap videos. Let me know when a real artist like Jiz gets stolen from.

Old_Zircon - 2015-11-17

I care that the bigger douches are often bringing in six figure salaries (if SoFloAntonio clears less than 10k a week I would be shocked) when, for example, my dad, who is a tenured associate professor at a top 100 university, had to work for nearly 30 years to break 90k and most real artists have trouble eating.

I'm already running too late to paraphrase Ian Svenonius on the exploitation of artistic obscurity in a capitalist economy here so you're just going to have to do it yourself.

Old_Zircon - 2015-11-17

What I'm saying is that we currently live in a culture where the fact that this guy is earning money retroactively justifies what he does to earn the money.

Yeah, ok, good point. I was jus' tryin' to troll no need to get all serious, brah.
