5 stars for finding this 90s rap gem, 5 million more for spotting the HOT AIR. Wow, I wonder who owns it now.

I wonder if it was made for Spaceballs or if it was just something Mel Brooks found in a prop room somewhere and wrote a joke around.

Old_Zircon - 2016-01-29

Kind of like how Fred Olen Ray wrote Star Slammer/Prison Ship around leftover sets and props from other movies, or how the whole ending of Multiple Maniacs was written so that John Waters could use that giant lobster prop after someone told him it was lying around and nobody would notice if he borrowed it.

Good question, my bet's on the former, actually. I have no evidence to back that up, just a hunch.

you snuck that second comment in while I was writing my reply to your first comment.

I also have a feeling Mel had it custom made to his exact specifications.

Sounds like a highschool talent show with a "kewl" teacher fucking around on a dollar store soundboard.

It's MC Hammer's version of Vanity 6, so that's pretty accurate. Deep down that's what he was, fame notwithstanding.
