This still wasn't as ill-conceived on Fox Kids that season as using CGI on Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and pretending people gave a shit about a story arc for it.
They did a take off of "It's a Wonderful Life" where the main character is shown how he has unequivocally made everyone's lives worse just by existing.
There's a bit of dialogue along the lines of:
"Aren't you supposed to be showing me how terrible things would be without me?"
"Hey, if everyone made the world a better place, it'd be perfect by now."
Which I remember, even at the time, thinking was unusually savage for a cartoon.
oh, I remember this. Little Shop of Horrors (the 80's musical, not the older black and white one) was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I remember looking forward to this, but I don't really remember spending much time watching it. I think I might have been disappointed.
