Ignoring for a minute the childishness of the ‘Bernie or Bust’ people (I’m not even sure any exist in 2020, most I’ve seen are Trump cheerleaders playing characters), I’ve been really impressed by how _reasonable_ and _productive_ Bernie and Biden themselves have been with each other.

It’s as though leftists have FINALLY figured out there are worse things out there than other leftists with slightly different shades of opinion.

Hazelnut, nearly every major Breadtuber and the Chapo crew are all pretty hard Bernie or Bust, and their fans are following suit.

Off the Internet, probably not so much, but all of those people have big platforms.

There are plenty of real bernouts out there, not sure if spoiled, stupid or both.

You may well be right. I don’t follow prominent influencers, I’m not on Facebook and such, so I could be missing out. If so I hope the BoBs take note of just how awful the ‘bust’ scenario is and do some rapid growing up.

Of course if we want others to introspect and admit their mistakes we should set a good example. I’ll start: I erred voting for Hillary in 2016 primary; I gave Bill Cosby the ‘benefit of the doubt’ (= deep down just didn’t want to believe his many accusers) for way too long; and I know I should stop eating meat.

I'm not talking about the election, I'm talking specifically about the failure of the nominee'\s campaign to reach out to the Bernie Bronies, and for that, the buck stops with the nominee. It was arrogance. Hillary didn't think she needed them.

I don’t think it would have made a measurable difference. The vast majority of BoBs are too busy looking for excuses and arguing for voting against the nominee that beat Bernie.

The two major things that sank Clinton were that

A) she is Clinton, and all the baggage she came with after decades of sexist GOP smearmongering energized the republican base.

B) everyone assumed she would win, lowering Democratic voter turnout and a bunch of idiots voting 3rd party.

Every other thing that happened during the election was akin to death by a thousand cuts.

It seems like we’re avoiding B at least. Biden campaign sure isn’t assuming an easy fight ahead, thank God.
