I watched a couple vids of keruffles late last night: the one where the older, woman-shoving racist eventually gets clocked from behind; and the one where cops are basically shepherding racists through their antifa-beating routine. But those vids were uglier than this one, and this one conveys the atmosphere just fine.

There used to be a time (90s early 2000s) when contemporary KKK members would arrange a protest/rally in some city somewhere on like a Saturday or Sunday and nobody would show up. It would be like 20 KKK members hootin' and hollerin' about white pride this and that to nobody.
Then the anti-racist action started showing up and they would outnumber the KKK people 5-1, yelling so loud the KKK people couldn't be heard.
Now people show up looking for a fight and the anti-racist people are fully committed to the violence at least in the way that the new KKK/neo-nazis are and so they get shanked, shot, or beat.
It also seems the racists (like proper racists, not-implicit bias racists) have infiltrated the police departments. Part of me thinks that even the cops who aren't racist are willing to side with the nazis out of convenience, on the belief that the leftists are anti-cop/police and therefore unworthy of protection.
What to do?

Hazelnut - 2020-11-16 Incremental steps. Stop supplying the police with military weaponry. Mandate cameras. Change laws to give victims of the police a chance in court. Training, while so often derided, is an important step. The most racist-infiltrated police departments need to be defunded and replaced, just like they do in South America when a police departments is completely subverted by the cartels.
Biden is apparently making this a top priority. It'll be hard with McConnell in the Senate, but he's got a decent shot at undoing some of Trump's damage.
