Watched the films back to back recently. It's the best movie in the series, maybe by far.

Nah, I think Road Warrior shits all over this. However, I should rewatch the whole series at some point; each film has its merits.

Road Warrior is the third best film.

Fury Road

Fury Road just felt like a slick pastiche of the other films, and I can't think of any film series that benefits less from being slick than Mad Max.

Thunderdome is weird as hell from start to finish and I love it for that.
