I don't know why it bugs me so much, but the "on the ground" phrase really, really makes me cringe. Something is "on the ground"... as opposed to in the air? In outer space? In a dimension orthogonal to our own that our limited senses cannot perceive? It makes sense in the military context, but I feel like punching people when they say it in an engineering meeting.

Well, I worded it like this because all of the footage was taken by someone actually in Zimbabwe, walking around with a hidden camera and interviewing people. A lot of the news coverage we see is so far removed from the actual situation that the term seemed appropriate, and while not military in nature it would be certain the man filming would suffer the same fate as the people in the video if discovered by the ZANU-PF.

"On the ground" is really what bothers you most about this movie?

Good god, the last four minutes at the burn ward...

I have in-laws stuck in Harare. My aunt-in-law had her passport stolen and the gov't won't issue her a new one, and won't let her out of the country without one. Her son stays to make sure she's "safe."

Her husband killed himself years ago when their family farm was taken and razed.

Mugabe is nothing but a thug, the country is a nightmare. There was a time in the last 50 years when this country had one of, if not the, brightest economy in Africa. I only hope they have a chance to do so again.

Zimbabwe deserves to burn
