Watch it again, I swear the fox is a special effects piece like the dogs on The Thing(1982). I expected it's face to peel open at any minute and start shooting tentacles and goop onto the cat so it could assimilate it.

It's the other way around. The cat looks around like "Get a load of this guy" and leaves only after expressing sincere contempt. The cat was just as nervous as the fox, but pretended it wasn't, because that's how cats roll. Screeching fox is cool an all, but these animals were operating on 2 entirely different levels of coolness.

Fox gets points for exoticness though, same way a crazy foreign woman is cooler than local church lady when they're both screeching angry.
