It's getting to the point that this parody is so convincing that it's wrapped around to a disturbing level of sincerely sad. If there were just 2-3 of these then it'd be a cute joke but there's, like, dozens of them.

This is a parody?

It has all the earmarks of one. Supposedly these are from the archives of some official magazine for a video game ratings association which never, you know, existed. Go to the site advertised at the end. How could that be anything but a joke taken too far?

Well, the organization is certainly treated as a serious organization by the gaming press and developers. They have yearly awards and are routinely cited in magazines and websites. I mean, the videos are definitely candidates for being parody, but there's dozens and dozens of them and it seems like an assload of work if all they're trying to do is make people think they're real.

I didn't believe these were parody until this one. I'm still not convinced its not real, but the 90s WOW logo and the "play it loud in stereo DUUUUUUUDE" were a little over the top. But its also not hard to believe a man so broken and sad as this narrator would think he was being legitimately hip.

I'm still not sure if these are parody or not.

I'm pretty sure this fellow is of the opinion that there is no such thing as a standard, unremarkable platformer. At least, I haven't seen him pan one yet.

But don't forget the fact that you had to get EVERY SINGLE BANANA in the game OR ELSE YOU DIDN'T ACTUALLY BEAT IT.

The Rare standard really spoiled gaming for a while what with the hide-and-seek aspect.
