I believe I care more for the big-scale 1984 TV version with George C. Scott as Scrooge, but the Muppet version is a surprisingly pretty damn solid adaption and hey, Michael Caine.

Almost any Carol adaption is fine with me as long as it isn't one of those versions where the filmmakers try to adapt it in the present day in the most flimsy fashion, like that TV movie with a female Scrooge played by Susan Lucci.

I also think the George C. Scott version is, all round, the best.

But the best Scrooge has to be Patrick Stewart in the 1999 made for TV version.
