Love it or hate it, this movie does have some great production design (I especially liked the "forest" of muffler men).

It's interesting that you say that. I came to embrace it myself after I met a guy at a party who worked for Stan Winston studios; he mentioned that it was one of this favorite movies because it develops 100% exactly like a bad dream.
