I loved this game, but I remember now you were pretty limited in your party selection. You needed a geomancer, a chronomancer, a rogue and at least one archmage to even stand a chance at finishing the game.

All I really remember about this game is a friend of mine had it and one of the bard's songs is the "Brave Sir Robin" song from Monty Python And The Holy Grail.

Man oh man did I hate me some first person RPGs back then.

For me it was Wizardry III: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord, but Bard's Tale was lightyears better.
