Most of those were better than any current McDonald's Happy Meal.

revdrew - 2009-07-31

Yeah, I wouldn't have minded getting most of these.. and none of them even approach the lamest McDonald's prize: a Gillette disposable razor:
http://poetv.com/video.php?vid=14806

Still, five for nostalgia.

Cena_mark - 2009-07-31

Technically the razor wasn't a Happy Meal prize. Imagine the lawsuits if it was.

baleen - 2009-07-31

I still have my changeables. In my attic. Apparently they are worth something.

hornung - 2009-07-31

i had that yellow boat.

sosage - 2009-07-31

So did I! I didn't think it was crap back then.

dementomstie - 2009-07-31

I had the yellow boat too. I agree that it wasn't as lame at the time as it actually was.

Camonk - 2009-07-31

"We weren't even watching!" You idiots, that was the only reason to have the fucking seeds!

Those boats had it goin' on, by the way.

twinkieafternoon - 2009-07-31

Wait...what was so lame about the fat bendy straw things that came on second? If you ate enough McDonald's I bet you could've made some cool shit.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-07-31

Robo cakes sounds like something you'd say if you were hitting on a robot maid. It would make her flustered, and she wouldn't understand what the emotion was or why she was feeling it. She would blush and fidget while attempting to process this new, unfamiliar data.

Yeah.

twinkieafternoon - 2009-07-31

Like an endearing but suggestive nickname, as in, "Hey, Robo-cakes, you got some nice Robo-cans,"?

Or are the robo-cakes her buttocks?

dead_cat - 2009-07-31

What I wanna know is if those robo-foods came before or after the McDonald's "Food Changeables" that turned into dinosaurs. They were lame as hell, but as a little kid, a plastic milkshake that turned into a technicolor dinosaur seemed just AWESOME.

garcet71283 - 2009-07-31

Robo-cakes was a staple of my childhood.
On a unrelated note, I now post on poeTV.

SharoKham - 2009-08-11

The robots came before the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs were shitty.

bopeton - 2009-07-31

I actually had Robo-cakes. It did suck. It wasn't nearly as sexy as it sounds.

dementomstie - 2009-07-31

Pop-oids ruled! I got like 5 sets of those, that is a happy childhood memory that you're dashing on the rocks of the internet Liquid Generation!

Chalkdust - 2011-03-25

I loved those things... you could make the raddest space noises with them

infinite zest - 2009-07-31

fuck this shit I thought it woulda linked. goodbye world :(

Species - 2009-07-31

i had the mcnugget buddies and the halloween food transformers. i loved playing with them.

sliggy - 2009-07-31

I had those, too. And I kept them long enough to use them as Halloween decorations in my college dorm room. Screw this, these toys did not suck.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-07-31

McDonalds is, in fact, the largest toy manufacturer in the world. Let that soak in for a little bit.

uekibachi - 2009-07-31

those mcnugget buddies were awesome!!!!

Bort - 2009-07-31

That last one was marketed as a "Glorious Victory Meal" on Q'onos.

snothouse - 2009-07-31

How is getting a full sized poster a bad prize?

Man Who Fights Like Woman - 2009-07-31

Man these toys seem like they would've been cool.

Huskerdu324 - 2009-07-31

You're forgetting the best happy meal toy, life-like heart disease and diabetes.

VoilaIntruder - 2009-07-31

To the untrained eye one would think it actually was heart disease and diabetes.

joyofdiscord - 2009-07-31

These are mostly pretty badass toys.

MrBuddy - 2009-07-31

I keep imagining how this video would have been if it'd been done by Zero Punctuation.
