I'm jealous of her success on a show I've never heard of

Jellyneck - 2011-01-03

Community may be the best written, funniest comedy currently on the air. Get thee to hulu.

Mother_Puncher - 2011-01-03

By the music and the guy in the Rocky training gear, I thought it would be some super serious suburban buddy cop drama.

You beat me to this joke! That's not fair!

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-01-03

Half of me thinks that she made this out of some egomania trip, but the other half thinks I would do exactly the same thing if my entire family kept asking, "SHOW US WHERE YOU ARE IN COMMUNITY? What? I don't see you! Where are you? Where are you? Rewind... wait... which one? What? Rewind it again... damnit Bill, give me the remote. No no, she's not the Asian... up there, see that blur? I told you we needed HD, but you wanna save money. If you didn't drink we would be able to see our precious angel on TV."

I did my due diligence and checked her account. It's full of videos like this (with even more obscured appearances) and mash-ups of movie trailers with traded soundtracks. Many of these videos are labeled "multifandom" which I wouldn't have looked up had I suspected it would bring me to a bunch of LiveJournal/fanfic pages. I'm actually not sure what I was expecting. My conclusion is that she is likely being sincere in her melodramatic cut-ups.

I have a buddy that's eating dirt and doing extra work out there too. They all do this, even though they don't usually add music.

rev.dinosaur - 2011-01-04

They don't usually do this; most just pay some equally struggling film student to do it without the arrows. I just got back from LA where two of my friends work for a firm cuts reels all day. What makes this particularly relevant is that *twice* we encountered people panhandling whom had, within the week, been into their office submitting tapes of their TV appearances.

So, L.A. is just a city full of egomaniacs, people at least this desperate and depressing, and gang members, right?

Lurchi - 2011-01-03

My grandparents were in the background in a scene from Jaws.

This blurry person is well on her way to becoming a professional extra.
