As baleen has pointed out, the actual visual-psychedelic part of a trip on hallucinogens like LSD, psilocin, et al can be kind of like this starting at moderately high doses. Then again, it's an extremely subjective experience, and a lot of what happens depends on the OH SHIT THE LOBSTERS ARE BACK!

Sort of what you get mixing reefer with mescaline; but as previous commenters suggest, hallucinogenic drugs aren't really like this. Closer to what you feel on a serious drinking binge. Or more closely to a dream state.

Come to think of it, the old DOS game Redneck Rampage had a level where you ate some peyote cactus and the resulting game play really did look a whole lot like mescaline hallucinations...

This mod shows a lot of promise. I'm sure they'll keep tweaking it. Maybe they'll make the grass glow at random levels and in different spots, or make the textures seem to melt when you're standing still, or make the ground appear to breathe. Time will tell. I think this is a good start.

Actually, the more I watch, the truer that statement seems to be. It's a LOT like salvia. Even the duration of the trip is pretty close.
