I wish I could remember the documentary I saw about this, the people there are pretty much forced to cut the trees down for money, along with other national debt and world bank factors. Oddly enough, seeing those clear cuts kind of made me sick.
Oh wait, just caught the title and my comment had nothing to do with it. So that's basically slurry we're looking at from explosives used in clear cut areas. No wonder I felt sick looking at it. Got to love a world where it's more important to destroy it to get at the shiny rocks it has inside, rather than take care of it. Hurrah economics.
