Can someone remind me who the faceless enemy was here?
I saw a red star on one guy, which might indicate Russkies, but then the logical ending for this scene would war declarations, possibly nuclear engagement, which I don't recall happening.
Wow, this is crap.

TeenerTot - 2015-02-13 Also, they say everything twice. The original script was half the length required for a feature film.

One of the most farcical dogfights in movie history.
F-14 was a cash cow for the military industrial complex...it was very heavy, overly complex, and was the most expensive fighter jet of its time.
in the movie it fights against repainted American F-5s, a jet that weighs just one sixth of what an f-14 does.
While the f-14 could outrun the F-5 easily, it wouldn't stand a chance in the kind of cinematic close combat featured in the film.

Dr. Lobotomy - 2015-02-14 pfft, the F-5 can't handle Christopher Walken.( http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=23467 )
what makes you think it would survive a close in dogfight with the mighty Tomcat?!
