Heavy traffic gets lost pretty quickly and just kind of ambles around for a _long_ time. It has it's moments, but Coonskin was far superior and everything this movie isn't. Not sure why Fritz always comes in for such a drubbing; I thought it was quite good.
I was too young to see this when it came out, but I read a lot about it, and it was extremely well received. I finally saw it a few years ago, and I love the pure, authentic seventies feel of it. I was twelve years old when the seventies began, and I can tell you that me and my friends spent most of those crazy fun years feeling cheated that we'd missed the sixties.
