As far as ah-nee-may goes, I find it interesting. MD Geist is notable in that it was one of the first OAVs (Original Anime Videos, ie direct to video) commercially released in the United States and it's American success was enough to spawn a sequel years later.
Of course, it's pretty lousy. It's hokey, but not hokey enough to be entertaingly bad. The rotten "rock" music soundtrack, the voice acting in both Japanese and English versions, the terrible animation...about the only things of interest are the "mech" designs and uh...that's it.
