Been there, drove that. Every 30 minutes that traffic changes direction, and waits for the occasional train. If you want to drive to my parents house, you have to go to here from Anchorage, then take the ferry.

Yep. The family was driving to Anchorage and beyond last time I visited, and we got there right at the end of our turn. Had to wait for the other side, plus a train. Good time to break out the picnic lunch.
