Oh goddammit science, NO. How can't you see what a bad idea this is?

Or do the robot cheetah guys actually have to attach a katana arm and set it loose before you begin to pay attention?

fedex - 2015-06-06

I'm thinking two or three Katana arms and maybe a Broadsword or two

MurgatroidMendelbaum - 2015-06-06

At least this robot is being trained to focus on straw mats and citrus.
God help us all once the surgical robots are unleashed.

infinite zest - 2015-06-07

We'll all wish we had paid more attention to those long winded Lindybeige videos on here.. or at least I will..

Another job lost to computers.

wtf japan - 2015-06-06

Needs "John Henry" tag.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-06-06

Great, now make the arm look like a cute maid.

SolRo - 2015-06-06

it's just a puppet repeating motions pre-programmed into it.

Aren't we all dude? Like, whoa, aren't we all?

Mister Yuck - 2015-06-06

But seriously, this is just a bullshit ad.

oddeye - 2015-06-06

yeah but the robot is cutting shit up with a sword.

Old_Zircon - 2015-06-07

It's actually a good ad, in that it does ostensibly demonstrate that the robot is able to quickly and accurately reproduce the movements it has been programmed for, which is exactly what it needs to do.

Also when they rise there will be no defense because a katana can slice through pretty much anything.

oddeye - 2015-06-07

apart from other katanas of course

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-06-07

It is a good ad, but a little misleading. It should be shown chopping up factory workers tied to stakes.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-06-07

I think we'll have to wait for Qatar to get into robotics before we see that.

Old_Zircon - 2015-06-07

oddeye, once the technology to make one of these robots entirely out of katanas has matured we're truly doomed.
