Killer Workout, no contest.

Aerobicide.

Old_Zircon - 2015-10-31

My girlfriend and I were really in to Killer Workout back in 2005 or 6, and I was really in to the idea of doing workout synth music like the soundtrack is full of but I didn't have the money for the synths back then and now that I've got the synths everyone is already doing that stuff.

Two Jar Slave - 2015-10-31

"Killer" story.

Old_Zircon - 2015-10-31

It's a real nail biter.

infinite zest - 2015-10-31

Oh poop. Kiss in the Park is a great movie (says the person who didn't like Straight to Hell.)

Old_Zircon - 2015-11-01

It is pretty great (says the person who dislikes Kiss more than almost any other band I can think of).

infinite zest - 2015-11-02

Yeah.. I remember kind of trying to get into KISS' music because I liked the Replacements and spent most of my youth not knowing that "Black Diamond" was a KISS song. I even had a KISS pinball machine. But besides Destroyer, which has a few good songs I really can't stand it.

StanleyPain - 2015-10-31

They should have just done a whole episode about Kiss. That movie is so terrible..such overrated crap. I know a couple hardcore KISS fans who think it's the greatest fucking thing ever, but it's so uniformly awful. They nail it when they say it's sort of like the Star Wars Holiday Special.

The Mothership - 2015-10-31

Some great B-movies, but not their best review.

StanleyPain - 2015-11-01

It would probably help if Mike's palpable disdain for the audience and everything RLM over the last, say, year or so wasn't quite so aggressive and obvious. I don't think he likes doing this anymore.

Shanghai Tippytap - 2015-11-01

hes been visibly drunk throughout some of the more recent ones. i felt a little bad for jay having to carry the conversation.

Aelric - 2015-11-01

I'm never sure how much of that is character and how much is him. Plus his lady friend hasn't shown up since last Halloween and he's gained a much of weight since then. Still, I enjoy the majority of RLM's output. That Best of the Worst with S.O.S. is still one of the weirdest, funniest things I've seen them review.

RockBolt - 2015-11-01

After the American Ultra Half in the Bag, all I want is Mike to read everyone's whiny tweets outloud

StanleyPain - 2015-11-01

Yeah I wondered what happened to her. I know she's still working on RLM stuff here and there, but she hasn't been on screen in a long time. She might just not want to (the comments on these video are a fucking cesspool and when she's in them you get all the sexist shits) which is cool, but I think she added something to the format.

Two Jar Slave - 2015-11-01

I'm not sure I could sustain enthusiasm for ten, let alone 34, episodes of a show dedicated to cracking wise about truly miserable VHS tapes. Actually, I'd tap out around 3.

Think about it. How long would you last?

(I acknowledge that asking this question on PoeTV might give skewed results.)

joelkazoo - 2015-11-01

I dunno, I think Mike is just that fucking good at sarcasm. Either that or he's a diagnosed/non-diagnosed manic-depressive. Or that's just what living in Milwaukee does to a person.

Old_Zircon - 2015-11-02

I don't know, I don't really watch these bits as much as their others but I always check what movies they're watching at the very least, and almost all of the Wheel of the Worst movies they watch that I've seen I've seen more than once, they have good taste in shit movies and choose some real gems.

infinite zest - 2015-11-02

Milwaukee's a strange place.. my ex wife is from there but so's my current semi-galfriend. And I dunno if I feel like finding it but there's an early RLM where you can see my old house. Anyway there's 3 bars there that all open up at 6AM and close at normal closing time, and they were always fairly packed in the morning. Maybe all those people were graveyard shifters but I don't think so. But I left right before Walker took charge, which might have something to do with why every other person living in Portland is from there.

memedumpster - 2015-11-02

It's funny how Internet media empires like Redlettermedia evolve to me as a viewer. I usually start out enjoying their flagship project, like the Plinkett reviews, but when those dry up, the channel becomes a cult of personality. I just start looking for other stuff to consume. Usually, after a time, the channel operators branch out into as much other stuff as possible, putting the flagship product to the background. This is a repeating pattern in popular video based groups of weirdos. Usually, I stop consuming the channel once the flagship product stops or drops way down in quality. The thing about these guys though, is I've come to just see Half in the Bag and Best of the Worst as the flagships, and I like them both. I think they have more staying power than usual cults of personality.

Two Jar Slave - 2015-11-02

Are you sure you're not confusing 'cult of personality' with 'z-grade celebrity'?

EvilHomer - 2015-11-02

Knowing memedumpster and his crush on Rich Evans: no, he is not.
