I think there’s a reason you can’t do this, and it’s because of insurance, this has to be a grift

OxygenThief - 2024-02-06 Definitely a grift. They are trying to convince Peter Thiel and the other tech ghouls that this will lead to big advances in life-extending technologies in the hopes the will give them giant sacks of money.

The problem is more um.. all of these drugs really fuck you up internally Pretty much everyone in professional sports is not natty.
It creates a playing field where if you're not able to afford the most cutting edge cheat that isn't detectable yet, your career is over. There's a whole market for designer roids / HGH, and the decycling cover-up drugs. If you can't afford all of that, you lose your job.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ.
I think I read in a comic once where juicing was allowed in sports and a runner tried out a new enhancement. He had tested it earlier and gotten good results.
Unfortunately, his system had retained some of the previous doses, so when he dosed before the race, he ran so fast, he lost his footing on the turn and slammed into a wall so hard he broke every bone in his body and put a significant-sized hole in the wall.
