I read the backstory and I guess they thought he was drunk and trying to bring alcohol into the park. Some cops recently pulled me aside for walking around with a sandwich. They thought it was beer. I could have resisted, but I laughed it off and attempted to do whatever the fuck they told me. That's sort of what you do when cops tell you to do something. The NYPD that shot that kid today after pulling a kitchen knife on them in his apartment because he was trying to commit check fraud and didn't want to go to jail has many family members who swear that he was completely innocent and had never committed a crime in his life. It doesn't matter that in fact, yes he had committed crimes before... I know both cops and violent ex-convicts, with scumbags and saints on both sides of the line, and I always assume when someone gets beat down it's usually because they deserve it. This is because I am cynical.

The cops claim he tried to punch them (the entire thing leading up to this was not on tape). Who knows maybe cops have nothing better to do than to beat the shit out of random black guys on the street, because that must be really fun for them.
