I miss them, too. Though I suppose these short clips are the best they could have done, had they not quit. They talked for years before they punched out that doing the Boo Saga would be difficult for them. I disagree with that—the Boo Saga has PLENTY of comedy gold to mine—but that at point, they were too hyperfocused on retelling the entire story and preserving fights than simply doing jokes. Plus Toei was regularly raping their channel before the Bojack movie broke them.

There's always going to be a new Dragon Ball game to LP, though. At least we still get that from them.

Yeah simply retelling the anime instead of jokes got more and more prominent as the Van Hellsing saga went on.

Sad to witness it, and a similar slump that Auralnauts went through. I guess the prequels were so ripe for mocking. The original trilogy was okay-ish. Their Obi-Wan thing is just an unwatchable half-note joke.

Not that DragonBall was ever an epic ballad, but the Bu saga was especially lazy storytelling.

Lazy and kinda ruins some of the previous storytelling in retrospect. But back when you could only hear about it from other kids who'd watched bootleg VHS tapes, it was beyond epic. Look at how long his hair gets! You won't BELIEVE what they have left to show on Cartoon Network.

I still would pay good money for an actual DBZ set using the TFS voice actors. They nailed it better than anyone

Oh, I would love that. Alas, I wouldn't be surprised if Toei used Yakuza connections to make sure the TFS guys never found legitimate work again. Right now, there's an upstairs boardroom in Tokyo full of 80-year-old executives, and they're negotiating with Golgo 13.
