The bit at the beginning when Kung Fury shuts the car door and the music cuts off, implying that he was listening to a cheesy 80s action movie soundtrack on the radio, was enough to sell me on it.
Yeah. It would take a pretty careful screenplay to tease this out over 90-120 minutes, but the trailer was a ton of fun so I hope they pull it off more than I'm cynical that they won't.

I was totally sold on this as a pitch-perfect spoof of 80s action flicks for the first 50 seconds, but then it takes a sharp turn into WACKY RANDOM INTERNET AWESOME shit. Still, what it did right, it did REALLY right, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
